Missing Top Ribbon Menu

I am a Windows user. I started up Lectora today to find the top Ribbon menu gone. I can't even access File and Settings to check them. Restarting the PC had no effect so I uninstalled and reinstalled still didn't bring back the top Ribbon menu. I can't find anything about that menu being undockable in the Knowledge Base.

Solution

Hello @JLombardi - Very interesting, we have not had this reported before and would like more information. Please email support@elblearning.com with the following:

1. The version and build of Windows

2. Windows Error Reporting - log file.

Use Windows System Information System Summary to find the first part. Use Software Environment, Windows Error Reporting to access the report. Note that the right side window will take a bit of time to load. Then use menu item File, Export to save the data in a text file.

3. Also include any other information on system changes that may have occurred, like, are you in a managed network where an IT group may manage apps, etc? Did you notice any system notification about a file not being copied or failing to load, etc?

Also include a link to this post for their reference.

Thanks!
