Menu lacks a scrollbar

Can anyone advise whether a menu created (from the menu creator) can have a scrollbar attached to the pages? - basically any subpages at the bottom of a verticle menu disappear off the bottom of the page. Also seems like it's only ever set up for sub pages to appear on the right? It's almost a great item but lacks these basic features (unless I'm wrong?). Or if anyone can point me to a great example of a TOC being dramactially changed with CSS I'd appreciate it, all I can find are dead links.

If you preview in browser does the scrollbar show up? (from the properties in the "Included Pages" section, you could also just show the chapters/sections vs all the individual pages if that helps).

@msaunders3127 If we lived in the Star Trek universe, I would blame the broken links on a transporter incident, causing links from the former Trivantis community to lose pixels during matter-energy conversion. In the eLearning Brothers universe, if you let me know which ones you're trying to access, we may be able to reconstruct them.

@msaunders3127 while I try to get that video posted, see if this helps at all

Thanks @cainam but we need to be able to get to the pages, so they have to be seen. It's annoying because it would perfectly solve a issue if there was a scroll bar like a TOC? Not sure why a TOC can have it but a menu can't?

@chris_willis can you try this one please, the link at the bottom of the comment goes no where https://rockstars.elearningbrothers.com/discussion/296263/table-of-contents-css-classes

As a side note and another issue - to try to get around the problem is I created a fake menu that uses buttons triggering multiple table of contents, whilst it works in internet explorer fine, when I try other browsers the TOCs do not show up? Any ideas?

Please add that to the suggestion list here in Rockstars Community. That way, others can recommend enhancements and workarounds--and our Product and Engineering team read and carefully consider every suggestion.

my bad @msaunders3127 - I was thinking you were talking about a TOC (Either I've use the Menu so rarely I forgot about it, or just went off your last sentence when making reference to the TOC). So you are using the Menu like you would a TOC for the visual appeal over a TOC? And you wouldn't use a regular Drop-down List for the same reason? (lack of visual appeal?)

Thanks @chris_willis - if you can add it to your list of Lectora improvments, could you add a scrollbar and left/right menu arragement? I've noticed it mentioned in old forum posts so I'm sure it'd help people?

No worries @cainam - basically (due to a MD's insistance) we went away from a TOC as the navigation and created a menu that had section thumbnails, when each thumbnail is clicked, that then had the TOC pages under that section - basically 12 buttons trigger 12 TOCs - messy but it worked.

He's gone now as so we're having a bit of a clean up, I'd overlooked the menu for ages and whilst it is handy and graphically already more adaptable than a TOC, not having a scroll bar in there seem like a missing essential. Upvote it in my request if you like!! ;)
