LMSCommit()

If I issue an LMSCommit() function call from an external HTML object on a page in my course without making a change to a retained variable beforehand, will the LMSCommit() send anything to the API, and subsequently to the LMS?I am trying to keep my LMS session "alive" through an artificial means since the user authentication times out after 20 minutes if nothing is taking place in the course. I have some captivate movies running on pages -- if it takes the enduser longer than 20 minutes to complete these before moving on to the next page, they lose their LMS connection and must re-authenticate.Thanks,Chris
