LMS Score Variable Error

Hi Folks,
I am having some issues with the scoring of our course. At the end of the course we have questions set up. On the last page we want the score to be show on the screen. Each question is worth one. As you go through each test screen we add one to a variable called res if the answer is correct. Is there away to take the contents of res and send it to the LMS for the score variable. I tried to modify the AICC.score variable to res and got a incorrect datatype. Im thinking this is becasue in the value field i put res, and what is actually need is a number variable is there any way to take the value or res and send it to the LMS for the score.
