lesson content mixed with printable tests

one of the reasons i'm concerned about this is that i'm using progress bars for each chapter, and switching between chapter and test will reset that bar. Question: when creating a test, it automatically creates actions for page count to continue from the original chapter. i don't have page counts, but i do want progress bars. do they work together?
