Lectora videos - help and suggestions!

I am creating a series of eModules with lots of videos in them for my employer, and we received a lot of negative feedback regarding the quality of video after sending our first course out for review

We used the Lectora Screen Recording Tool to do all of our screen recordings. We are recording what is a very-detailed software (with lots of detail on the screen all at once), and for the most part, are recording full-window/desktop videos. Videos were very blurry and hard to read (especially when there was a lot of mouse movement). I have looked in the threads here and have seen that a lot of people are using Camtasia - would purchasing this software help combat these issues, or would it prove to be a waste of money and give us similar results?

I'm also wondering if there is a way to highlight certain items within the video using Lectora objects (such as arrows and ellipses) - every time I place an ellipse or arrow over the video frame within my page, it does not appear transparent, so it essentially "covers" the video, rather than "circling" or "pointing" something out within the video. Also we suggest our viewers watch most of our videos in full-screen view - even if there was a way to see ellipses and arrows on top of a video, would these also be visible in full-frame view, or am I wishful thinking? Does anyone know if Camtasia has a functionality to "circle" or "point out" something within the video BEFORE inputting into Lectora so I don't have to rely on using Lectora objects?

Any response would be appreciated...I am trying to learn as much as I can here about videos in this software!!

Many thanks.
