Yep I kinda figured it would be impossible, I gave him the suggestion of trying an older version of lectora to see if the files opens or gave errors, but he only has access to 9 so thats no good.
I did think of another thing to check, got him to find out if the people that gave him the lectora had ever published from it. They had given him a publish too. in the html publish you cna see the Lectora version use for the publish so he's working o the assumption thats the version they use.
I like the forum and I'll drop in and any help I can give I will.
I'll probably have more questions than answers though!
