Lectora, SumTotal, and showing all assessment scores

 Hi Nancy,

With SumTotal one of the things you have to do is in the Learning Activity of the system is to set the passing score value to what you want it to be. This will control the passed/failed test in the status field of SumTotal.

In your course you also need to make sure that the maximum value for the course being passed to SumTotal is 100. Check the properties of the AU (assignable unit) and set the maximum score there. This will force Lectora to average the scores of all tests to be included in the overall score before passing the value to SumTotal. Unless they have fixed it, SumTotal cannot display a value over 100 for a score.

If you want the failing score to show then you will need to let the course pass the incomplete and/or failed otpion and close out whihc will show the students scores in their transcript but each time they take teh course it will overwrite the information in the roster with the current data.

Hope this helps.

nterry said:Hi everyone, I've reviewed all the SumTotal postings but haven't found an answer to my question yet. We have a course with an assessment that was developed in Lectora. The assessment currently has an 80% mastery score and our LMS is SumTotal 7.6. We're not having any problems showing a completed status when learners pass the assessment, but I would like to be able to also see the scores for learners on the roster when they do not pass. Currently all we can see for those who do not pass the test is that they are registered or in progress. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any guidance you can provide. Nancy
