Lectora freezes when I try to load in elearning bros course starters

I'm in Lectora 17. I've downloaded two different elearning bros course starters (80s Neon and Shamrock). When I drag and drop the file into Lectora, I get a status bar that makes it appear to be downloading, the status bar finishes - then Lectora freezes. I've waited upwards of 20 min just thinking it was taking awhile to load the content, but the whole program is frozen, no functionality at all and I have to use Task Manager to close it. I've got a ticket in with elearning bros but I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this same issue?
