Lectora errors in LMS

Hi there,

undefined

I have been running into errors occasionally in the LMS when learners are going through some of my courses. For some users the course shows as completed in the LMS, and for some others the same course comes up with errors while they are doing their learning.

What I wanted to test out was using one of the starter courses within the open screen of Lectora. I clicked the starter course that has a pre-test and test, didn't do much at all of the course other than export to Scorm 1.2. I had so many error messages when I started the course, so I took screenshots of the (by the look of it first question) errors.

Am hoping someone might shed some light.

According to scorm.com the "not implemented" error is defined as:

Not implemented error (401) The data model element indicated in a call to LMSGetValue or LMSSetValue is valid, but was not implemented by this LMS. SCORM 1.2 defines a set of data model elements as being optional for an LMS to implement.

Try to publish without "The published course will report Test/Survey Question Interaction to the LMS".

You might want to state which LMS you're using. Have you tested the course in another LMS, such as a free SCORM Cloud account? Most occurrences of this error in my limited experience have been at the LMS end, not the course end.

@CarlFink: I have tested the course on Scorm Cloud. The LMS we use is called WorldLearn. You mention that the errors will likely be on the LMS end and not the course end. Is there a way I can see which message comes from where?

@Tim K: I will republish with the setting unticked and report back. Thank you for providing some pointers.

How comfortable are you with tools like Wireshark?

I have not used Wireshark at all. However I am not sure I will be able to use this as I am on a secure police network.

You might want to check out Scorm Watch.

It's perfectly possible that the pretty good built-in debug functions in Lectora would help. I'd contact Support.
