Lectora Course running slow on the server

I have done these things to improve performance at runtime.

Avoid background set to images (if you must use them make sure they are only 1 pixel wide as Lectora will "tile" the image.

Use animated gifs for buttons - especially if using IE6.

Compress all images as much as possible in an image editing application.

NEVER use Lectora to resize an image.

Avoid setting images to "preload".
