You have a really tough problem. I asked the same question re. 2005. The answer was that I could not use any of the new 2006 features (groups, transitions, modifiable shapes, ...) because 2005 would not recognize them. I have not had much luck exporting to XML.For your client, consider showing them some of the super new features in 2006 (see my posting in the Social Lounge - the last forum on the first screen entitled Much Better Productivity & ROI). 2006 will more than pay for itself in short order with all the time saving features plus you get a much better product -- the table borders & cell backgrounds and the transitions make a big big difference in how professional a course you can create without having to resort to expensive Flash technology. After they consider all this, it is a small price to pay for the upgrade. Figure it this way. If all the time savers alone can save you a couple of hours a week minimum in development time, the product easily pays for itself in about 4 months. Ask them what other investment they have that has a 300% annual ROI !And I can only speak for 2006 over 2005. I never used 2004 but I'll bet there were a lot more improvements there too so you probably can improve that %. Finally, this does not count the much better look and feel you can create with the new capabilities.cheers, benEdited By: bpitman on 2006-2-3 7:7:49
