Lectora 11 and text box formatting
April 9, 2013 12:00 AM
Just wanted to raise an issue i seem to be having. It is intermittent, but annoying none the less.
When using text boxes, certain issues keep reappearing:
- When trying to add a link to multiple words (as one phrase), the link will only add to part of the phrase, not all
- When trying to right-click within the text box to get table/link/etc context menu, it - the context menu - keeps disappearing before having a chance to choose what i want to do
- Some highlighted text items just cannot be formatting using any styles, no matter what i do
Is anyone else having these issues, or similar?
We work a fair bit with text boxes, so it would be nice if it would do what is supposed to do!
One other issue i would like to raise, in the hopes it may be fixed with the above in a service pack - why are text lists created the way they are - using a span class to make the icon instead of using html lists or similar? It makes it very difficult to format.

Thanks ssneg, i figured out the bit to hold the context menu open - still a bit frustrating.
If anyone else has issues with multiple text links not working, the simple solution is to move your cursor back into the link and then hand type the rest of the link word(s).
Just to confirm:
1. Haven't noticed, but I believe you 100%, sounds very much like Lectora.
2. YES, confirmed. My solution: HOLD the right mouse button to keep the context menu open. You can move your mouse up and down to make the selection as usual.
3. YES, sometimes. No good workaround for that other than just deleting the text, or page, or reopening the title, or restarting Lectora, or just switching to some other, less frustrating, task for a bit.
