Java Errors in Win XP IE7

Hi all,

I have a course that I published to SCORM that is running fine through our LMS for those with WIN 7 IE 8, however my testers on WIN XP IE 7 are getting this javascript error:

With the error they are not seeing any of the images or question items associated with the page. However, buttons and sounds are working.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks!

Sara

Good morning! I see this is an older post, but I'm wondering if you ever found a solution to your Java issue. I'm running into very similar problems albeit with new Windows and IE versions. My XP and Vista machines with IE8 and IE9 work fine with my Java-published content. However newer Windows 7 and IE11 are exhibiting the same symptoms you reported.

I do have the option of republishing my content using AJAX, but if there's a simple fix on the PC side, that would be my preference. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the response Sara, glad to hear you found a fix! Oddly enough I believe I'm on the latest version of Lectora (11.3.1 (9237)). However I'll still pursue your lead of checking on the specific file that contributes to Java. Who knows, maybe I'll find it has an older date and timestamp or that it didn't get updated with one of the patches. Stranger things have happened!

Yes! I ended up calling in to Lectora Support and they were awesome about helping. Depending on what version of Lectora 11 you are in there was an error with one of the Java files that was making this happen. It should be fixed in the recent updates, though. You might want to reach out to them to check. They sent me a new Java file and everything was fine after that. :)

Weird! It was the trivantis-inline Java file if that helps.
