Issue with Tails on Call Out Word Balloons
September 18, 2019 12:00 AM
Yesterday, I updated my version of Lectora to 18.2. Initially I tried to run the update by clicking on the question mark in the upper left hand corner and clicking "Check for Updates". When I did this the update wouldn't load so I downloaded 18.2 from https://www.trivantis.com/service-pack-downloads/. Launched it, installed it, and everything looked normal.
When I opened one the files I am currently working on, I noticed that the tail on many of my Call Out Word Balloons were no longer pointing at my on screen characters. I can adjust the tails with the yellow handle to stick out of the bottom and right side of the Call Out Word Balloons but if I try move the tail to the top of the bubble or the left, Lectora won't allow me to do this and instead inverses the tail to cut a shape out of the Call Out Word Balloons. I've attached a picture of this with this post.
Has anyone else ran into this issue before and if you have how did you solve it?
Thank you,
Anthony

We are looking into the call out tails issue.
The updater may be waiting to download the files because a program is running. We will fix this in the next maintenance.
We have confirmed this is an issue and are working on a maintenance patch. We are working to QA and release this ASAP.
Thank you Joe for looking into this and working on a maintenance patch for it. Will this patch automatically update Lectora or will I need to manually install another update? Also once the patch is ready how will Trivantis announce this to users?
Hi Anthony, the patch will not be automatically updated, you'll have to run the downloaded install.
Joe, thank you for the update and support information.
Hello,
Is there an estimated release date for the patch? I have some older courses that I need to update, but I am trying to avoid working on them until the patch is ready so that I don't have to edit multiple speech balloons.
