Instructional Design?

Everyone has their own opinion. About a year ago I bought 8 books on the subject from Amazon and returned all but these 3. The rest were very high level and contained no real content.I found these books on online / elearning instructional design to be quite helpful. They assume that you already have mastered the basics if instructional design somewhere else. I have a graduate degree in the field.Computer-based Instruction - Design and Development, Andrew Gibbons, Peter Fairweather, 1998. Don't let the date fool you - probably the best book out there - but is a long tough read. A good reference book. Read 10 pages a night.e-Learning and the Science of instruction, Ruth Colvin Clark, Richard Mayer, 3003 -- 2 big names. Clear, straight forward, easy to read, backed by research.Michael Allen's Guide to E-Learning, 2003. Clear, straight forward, easy to read. cheers, ben
