Increase font size for variable value field

It seems like the font size for the entry field for variable values is 8 point at best. Is there a way this can be increased for easier readability?

The Notedpad example is 10 point font for comparison.

And also can we please have monospace font where 1,I,l and O,0,o don't look the same.

Oh, and why doesn't the shortcut for Select All Ctrl-A work in the value field? Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V work for copy/paste.
