Images with Lectora 11

With Lectora 11 - what is the best way to bring in an image into your project to make sure they are the clearest? Also, resizing an image - again what is the best way to do this so the image is great. I do have Snagit.

I personally prefer to pick my own size and compression settings through PhotoShop save for web, then importing the saved file into Lectora (with no further compression).

Copying and pasting a screenshot into Lectora creates a very large BMP file. Selecting any compression setting in Lectora will convert it to a more reasonable jog image. I don't like this as the resulting image quality could be unpredictable.

My only suggestion is....if you already have an image, and when you import it (either Insert-Image or just dragging it over) it is too big or too small - use the Edit (pencil) feature to fix it. Don't resize it manually in the page (by grabbing it and making it larger or by any resize features in lectora) - it will be pixelated/bad quality in production.

Use the Snag It Editor/pencil feature, fix it, then save the image. When you go back to Lectora, click Reset to Original in the Image Tab - Position/Size Tab to ensure it is the real (new) size. Then it will be nice and clear in production.

Good luck!
