Image editor at captivate even if preferences changed to Corel

I'm trying to edit an image. On the image properties, when I click edit, lectora launches Adobe Captivate, which of course can't do anythign to the .gif file. short of actually finding the ,gif in the file structure and opening it directly in Corel, I'm not sure what to do. I've changed my file preferences to use corel as the image editor, but for some reason lectora does not seem to "accept" the change. any idea what's going on?
