Image Compression and Single File EXEs

Going back to the "topic" of image size. We never let software automatically resize the aspect ratio of images. It is always best to re-size an image in photo manipulation softare, perhaps apply sharpening to the reduced image, and export (or save as) to the necessary format prior to importing. You can view the final image, and you are not importing unnecessarily large files. Don't overwrite the original - append the file name with something "significant". I usually have a "source" directory where I can obtain the original version for future use.Yes, PhotoShop is expensive, but something like PaintShopPro provides sufficient functionality at a more affordable price.Edited By: JDH on 2008-9-18 23:19:45
