Image Button Issue- Double Image on Some Imported Image Buttons
July 9, 2021 12:00 AM
Weirdest thing keeps happening to me. I load an image for a button and once I try to resize it, I get a duplicate of the image within the image. I have attached a picture of what is happening (two different image I brought in to see the issue). I have recorded a video of what is going on as well if anyone would like to see it.
Anyone else having that problem or is it just me (could be, my computer enjoys messing with me)? I just downloaded the newest patch that was offered for Lectora21 before I noticed this problem. This is only occurring in Lectora21. I tried to recreate the issue in Lectora18 and it isn't happening. I did not try inserting an image button before the patch was installed.
I tried a different picture (with more in it) and I didn't see anything duplicating, but it might not show on a more detailed image.
Any help would be appreciated. I shouldn't have to create buttons often (though I do enjoy making my own buttons for our themed education).
Solution
@angelsweetie I tried this out again and I found that the issue has an easy solution. The image button is being set with a Shadow! Simply select the button, then go to the Style tab, click on Shadow icon, and select None.

I keep having a 404 Not Found Error when I try to preview it within Lectora21 so I can't tell you that. It is, however, not showing up when I publish to my LMS now. Just showing a duplicate when I try to build. I have restarted my computer three times now, so maybe that was some of the issue?
Does the duplication appear in the development environment, the published course, or both?

@angelsweetie It appears you have discovered an issue that affects Edit mode only. The published course will not show a duplicate image. It's now reported, and I am sure will be addressed in an upcoming update. Thanks for weighing in on this!
@RichVass Thank you! It was interesting and made my eyes and brain hurt!
@scoggins My eyeballs and brain thank you for the work around!
@scoggins On a semi-related note, any idea why I am getting 404 errors when I try to preview my course or when I open a new project and try to select a framework, design, or any of those features? It happens a lot (like 9 out of 10 times) and the only thing that I have found that works is restarting my computer. Considering I have to build about 20 courses soon, I'm hoping to find a way to not have to restart my computer every time. It will become a pain!
