hyperlinks appear in MS PPT

The only reason that a file would be opened in PowerPoint is if PowerPoint was the registered handler for the mime/type of the file extension you are trying to launch. For instance, if you link to a file with a .MOV extension, whatever media player that currently handles that file extension (typically Quicktime) will be launched to play that type of file. Thus, if your links are opening in PowerPoint, I supsect that the file that gets launched has either a .PPT or a .PPS file extension.Tim V
