Check to make sure that they only have one Java plug-in enabled in the browser (In IE, under tools/internet options/advanced). When one plug-in is selected, the other plug-in should not have any of its options checked. If you Microsoft VM checked, for instance, than make sure that the option to use Sun Java is unchecked.
