How do you pass variables from Lectora to Outlook 2007?

We do this:

1. Create a graphic contact button. Call it contact.gif


2. Ccreate a page that isn't included in the table of contents, and students can't get to it via navigation. Add contact.gif to the page. This will ensure that the button is added to the images folder (images/contact.gif).


3. At your title level, add and External HTML Object, type Other. Add the following script to the Custom HTML field.
   


4. Change the email address to your own address


5. Manually change CourseName to the name of your course. You will have to manually change this each time you re-use this code in a new course.

When a user clicks on the button (contact.gif), the web page will create a new email message from the user. The subject line of the email will be CourseName-PageTitle. Page Title will be replaced with the name of the page they were on when they clicked the button. We set up the contact button so that is included on each page in the course.
