How do you make an image transparent?

You'll need to define the transparency in the image. I realize that you don't want to take it to Photoshop, but I don't know of any other way to make it transparent. I know that in some other programs (like Captivate), you can define a color to make it transparent. Lectora does not seem to have this option. In Photoshop, there are some shortcuts you can take to delete all of one color. This gives you your transparency. You can then save it as a GIF or PNG. The GIF is lossless with up to 256 colors, and the PNG is lossless regardless. My usual warning is that IE6 does not support transparency for PNG files, so be wary of that. Kevin
