Hot Spots on Graphic

Hi, I'm using 2008. I have a graphic that depicts Chapter 1 through Chapter 6. I made transparent buttons for each chapter number. What I want to occur is when a student mouse clicks on a chapter number, a text box will appear showing what is included in that chapter.I think I've tried every combination possible and nothing seems to work. I have each button, action, and text box layered correctly. I put on button "on click show filename" (filename of the text box); I have added actions to each button (on mouse click show filename) - I hope I have explained this so you all can understand and help me!
