Highlight and line doesn't show in Matching Type

i just tried this as stated : Matching question page, no background in page properties,

icon 1: graphic - 800x600 (covers whole page. picture of Tom Baker in his Dr who outfit, so very colorful)

icon 2:matching question object, 3 matching pairs. font arial 18, color red

published the file, and the highlits did show up over the graphic

Re did with the image actually in the page properties background tab, and also worked okay. So there might be something else going on.
