Help with completing module - SCORM
May 16, 2013 12:00 AM
Hey everyone,
I just started using Lectora over a week ago and have a question or two about "completing" the module.
The module consists of 80 pages, and there are about 10 "knowledge check" question scattered through out the module. Each quiz question is set for unlimited attempts so they can try until they get them right. So the criteria of "completing" the module could either be getting all of the quiz questions correct, which they will OR from 100% page views. I am not sure how to go about doing this. I read some things about having to set an action on the last page of the module and using the variable AICC_Lesson_Status but I am not totally sure how to do this.
What I tried to do(and failed b/c the module did not complete) was I created a button on the last page that says "Exit" and added an action to that button that says on "mouse click" set action to "modify variable". The target is AICC_Lesson_Status, type is Set Equal To and value is VAR(AICC_Score). This was my guess, but clearly not the correct one. Would anyone be so kinda and to point me in the right direction from here?
Also, I dont believe I have set anything in the quiz questions to actually keep a score. I noticed a few things in the properties on each quiz questions like "retain value between sessions" which I do not have checked and the "point value" which are set to 1 by default. Would anything here need to change as well?
Thanks a bunch!

Test & Survey ribbon > Test Chapter.
Then move all your content into the test chapter. On the last page of the course, have an action that scores the test. If there is a question on that page, make another page and say "Congrats. you are done." and put the action on that page.
After the test, have a regular chapter with two pages, Passed and Failed. Make the test Behavior ribbon go to these two pages. Exclude the Next and Back button s from those pages.
Feel free to call me in Atlanta at the number below on Fri.

There is a free paper on my web site re. LMS completion. All you need to do is put the action that sets the Lesson Status on the last page and set the navigation so they have to go through all the pages before getting there.
www.eProficiency.com/webStore/ and search for "LMS notes"
Thanks for you quick reply. I will see if I can figure it out from here!

And yes, those screen shots are from an older version. It is unlikely that I will update it because all that and more is now in Lectora 101 from Amazon (link below)
I think you need to set that last value to "completed" or "Complete" . I'm no expert, and just learning to do this myself. Other possibilities: I've taken other pieces that work correctly, copy "their complete" action to the clipboard, and then paste it into the new program.
Good luck. @justspiffy 50615 wrote:

SCORM standard requires "completed" and "incomplete" or "passed" and "failed".
