Help - Blurry Images

 Several suggestions:

1. Never copy/paste images into Lectora. Always import as an image from a "source" file.

2. Use a photo-editing software package to resize, compress, export, etc., images prior to importing into Lectora. PaintShopPro is an inexpensive and moderately robust alternative to PhotoShop. Not as good, but acceptable for many uses. And some of PaintShopPro's "quick and dirty" functionality is more user-friendly. But PhotoShop is still the best.

3. If you can import from a photo-editing software package, decline using Lectora's image compression settings when publishing. For instance, for screen captures you should export as GIF for clarity, not as JPG, beacuse of text clarity. We use Lectora's compression for audio and video only. This is not meant as a "negative" regarding Lectora, as the audio compression to FLV as resolved several client issues. I just don't recommend the image compression, at least for our purposes, for reasons stated above.

rmitchell said:All ideas/suggestions appreciated - We are having significant and on-going image clarity issues when publishing our Lectora units to HTML, SCORM or WebCT. We've set our compression level to lowest possible We've stopped resizing images within Lectora We will get image issues - but not consistently and that is what is driving us crazy. One developer can input 3 images the exact same way - 2 will be clear; 1 blurry. ???? Our latest "Eureka" was publishing directly to our hard drives (and not on the company server) - that seemed to fix one developer's problem, but not the other one. Frustration is setting in. Any advice or tips on how to either fix or work around this "blurry image" issue? Thanks all!
