Yes, if your computer doesn't have the font loaded it'll replace it with the system default. You can ensure the font is always visible the way you want it to by converting all your textboxes to images or you can add the custom font to your course. Actually, I take that back, the webfonts are in there under the zipped folder now. Any other reasons that including the fonts via Blog post #3 solution wouldn't work and a user is still not seeing correct fonts? Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks for the info! I read the blog and tried option 3. Followed directions and everything works on my computer now properly, but my tester is still not seeing the proper font. When I export the course as scorm 1.2 zipped and then open the zip file, i see the webfonts folder. However, when I open the folder, nothing is in it. Shouldn't lectora have exported the font files to that folder? Could there be a glitch with lectora when I add additional files to the HTML extension (Add Folder option) that it is actually not uploading the files under the webfont folder? This is a huge issue for me if I can't get my users to see the proper fonts! I've attached my course file if that matters.

Hi Windy! You ignored Step 3 of my blog :) It says,

Sometimes Font Squirrel will use a font family name that is different from what you see in Lectora, e.g. “open_sansregular” vs. “Open Sans Regular”

This is exactly the case. Windows and Lectora refer to Exo font as simply "Exo", whereas Font Squirrel produces a lengthy CSS file that mentions "exolightitalic", "exolight", etc.

I fixed the CSS file for you (attached), replace your old stylesheet.css with it and see if it helps. Let me know if you need anything else :)
