Fly Right or Fly Left

I noticed that when published to SCORM, any objects or text that I had set to fly left or fly right appear as if they are flying in from the edge of the browser window off the stage. Is there anyway to control the starting point on the fly transitions? I tried creating a move to action for a page where one image needs to slide over another image and replace it, and that didn't work either. The replacement image just showed up over the other image, and did not have the requested slide in effect. If there isn't a way to control the starting point of fly right/left transitions, is there a way to hide or mask the moving object until it hits the stage?
