FLV's Play Simultaneously in FireFox, Safari, Google Chrome

I have a course built with Lectora vX.5 that has multiple flv files on many of its pages. Most of these are just audio with closed captioning. Typically, just one of the flv's on any given page is checked "Initially Visible" and "Auto Start," while the others are triggered by some learner action, like clicking a button or image on the screen.

For example, a page might have two flv's: flvA and flvB. When the page loads, flvA (Initially Visible and Auto Start checked) starts playing. When the learner clicks a button, a Stop action stops flvA and Show and Play actions play flvB (Initially Visible and Auto Start NOT checked).

This works great when playing in IE8 and IE9, but not in FireFox (8.0), Safari (5.1.1), or Google Chrome (15.0.874.121 m). When played in these browsers, every flv on the page acts like it is set to Auto Start. They all play simultaneously when the page loads. Sounds like the Tower of Babel!

Any ideas on how to correct this problem? Thanks!
