FLV Videos in HTML

Hi.

I've read through several posts about the use of .flv video files. We are using Lectora X and publishing to HTML.

We are having a problem with a customer playing the course on their web server. When the course page opens, we have an .flv video with a start button on top. We have an action on the start button to play the video. When we play it on our web server, the videos play correctly. The video controller (skin) can be used to start, pause, and stop the video.

When the customer enters the page, the video is sitting on top of the start button. The controller on the video doesn't work either.

Here are the fixes we've attempted:

1. We checked to make sure the customer was using IE. (IE6)

2. We made sure the customer can view flash files. (They are viewing Captivate .swf files without issue)

3. We checked to make sure the button and video were in the correct layers/order in Lectora

4. We added a parameter to the html page - video2413.addParm( "" )

5. We tried to add the MIME type (.flv) to the local folder. Unfortunately, this is not an option on the Properties. (I know this is a fix for IIS servers)

Does anyone have a known fix or other ideas? This is an important customer and they have been very patient with us as we tried these different fixes.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Kim
