false positive for non-caching of pages

Would it be at all possible to add something like ?rev=1001 as an optional extension to lectora html pages to take care of client caching issues?

something like a001_first_page.html?rev=1001

Then if we update the page it would publish out to:

something like a001_first_page.html?rev=1002

This way the client would be forced to access the NEW page. Some clients still cache on their servers and the client can clear their computer cache YET STILL see the EARLIER VERSION of the page(s)
