Embedded YouTube video plays - or not - depending on browser

I've embedded a YouTube video in a lesson page, publishing the title to web-based SCORM and uploaded to our LMS. The video streams properly when viewed with the Firefox browser, but fails to play when using the Internet Explorer browser.
