Editing Radio Buttons in Tests
November 19, 2014 12:00 AM
Hi there-
Is there a way to edit the radio buttons to change them to the check box buttons in a test? The default is the radio button when adding multiple choice and other questions, but I want a check box button.
Can you just replace the radio buttons with the check box buttons? Or do you need to add the check box buttons and delete the radio buttons and then control the test through variables instead of including the built in radio buttons?
Thanks!

When you add a question, you select the question type: true/false, essay, drag-n-drop, multiple choice (radio buttons), multiple response (checkboxes). Once you've done that, you cannot change the question type from MC to MR or to TF. You have to delete the question and add a new question of the correct type.
Keep in mind that the two operate differently. Radio buttons allow only 1 to be selected. If the learner selects another, it unselects the first automatically. Check boxes the learner has to consiously uncheck the unwanted box. Check boxes allow the learner to check more than one answer.
Thank you!
I actually figured out how to add custom buttons, so I ended up doing that.
