Easy to share and edit question text?

Here's what I'm looking for...
We have a large collection of tests that we host on our LMS. It's difficult for us to keep them all updated, so we're exploring options for getting our SMEs involved in the process. Couple of questions related to this idea....
1. Is there an easy way to export all of the questions currently in a Lectora test into a user friendly format that we can share with a SME? We would like to send them something that they can easily edit. The only export options I have are XML (which exports the whole course and it's not very user friendly), a zip or Lectora Online Package. I've seen in the help files that you can export to QTI, but I do not see that option. (I'm running Lectora Enterprise v9)
2. Is it possible to keep the question, answer and feedback text in an external XML/QTI/etc file, so that we can quickly update that file without having to make any changes to the Lectora title itself?
3. If we try to use the XML or QTI format, how does the import option work? Will it just add a new page for each question or can you use that option to update existing questions?
Any help would be MUCH appreciated. Here's what I'm looking for...
