Dynamic text fields in buttons from button wizard

I recently had to build an extensive navigation scheme that involved a button bar with each button having a drop-down of sub buttons. I wanted to use the button wizard to easily create the drop-buttons in Lectora so that the button text labels could also be translated when using the translation tool. I also wanted to be able to easily change button label text from a variable, but soon realized that there didn't seem to be a way to access the text field in a button that was created by the wizard.

So, if it isn't already possible, I would say a nice addition would be to make the text field within a button wizard created button, accessible to change via an action or variable.
