Designer Spotlight: Celena Robinson
April 26, 2021 12:00 AM
Celena Robinson has been with the State of Colorado for 17 years. Currently in a Learning & Development Specialist role with the Department of Revenue: Marijuana Enforcement Division, she started using Lectora Desktop about 3 years ago and is now a Lectora Online user. Celena began developing online learning with Storyline, but when she moved to her current role she started using Lectora. She is a self-taught Lectora user and has used the Template Library to dig into Lectora templates and get a close look at how the files were made. She is also an avid user of the eLearning Brothers Stock Asset Library.
Most of Celena's career has been in training delivery, but she's been wearing an Instructional Designer hat for the last 5-7 years. In her current role she focuses on two critical programs: New Employee Orientation and the Regulator Learning Program (problem-based learning). Learners are required to move through four phases of proficiency / competency (A-D), so Celena and her team have used instructional scaffolding to help learners progress at their own pace. She's excited to explore CenarioVR as a deeper dive experience for her learning audience who are investigators at the many marijuana stores throughout the state. Celena stated that a very fulfilling part of her job is hearing that learners are transitioning to other jobs and taking the skills and knowledge from her learning solutions with them!
Thanks for being a Rockstar, Celena! B)
