Descision of passing

I have never heard of letting the LMS decide the minimum passing score, setting the status and passing feedback back to course. There is a value called the mastery score which is the lowest passing score for a particular course. SCORM and AICC use only one score value, regardless of the number of tests in the course, and that is sent to the LMS from the course. Some LMS' can use the mastery score for the course and compare it to the actual score from the course to determine the course status. The LMS has the final say in this regard as to what the overall status of the course is set to. I am not sure I know of a way to have the LMS change the status while the user is in the course and pass to the course some sort of feedback. In the test properties, the pass and fail pages are simply for the test only as is the minimum passing score you set in the test. That is used simply for navigation purposes only.If you are publishing to SCORM, a lot of the SCORM LMS' will wait until the user has completed their session before their API adapter reports the information back to the LMS. In that case, there would be no way for the LMS to gather the user's score, do it's comparison and then pass back feedback to the API adapter to make available for the course. What LMS are you using and do they actually offer some sort of feedback field that they pass back to the course while the user is still in the current session? And is this option for each user in the course or just a global setting for the course?
