Default publish strings - some in english, some in german?
May 14, 2009 12:00 AM
Hi all,
I have a question regarding published standard strings.
I am working with the german version Lectora Professional Publishing Suite V9.
Therefore I don’t know the very exact labeling in the english one. I hope I manage translating the labels…
In my current course I have a test in which the user is requested to enter his name at the beginning of the test. To realize this I opened the test properties, went to the results tab and checked “request user to enter his name to identify the test”. Additionally, I use some other premade objects of Lectora, e.g. “Send results via E-Mail”.
If I publish my course as an exe, Lectora uses english texts e.g. in the test results:
Student: xyz
Score:
Passed
Question1…
If I view the same course in preview mode, Lectora uses german texts.
If I publish the course as html, Lectora uses german texts as well.
I know that I can change these settings under file – settings – tab ‘standard texts’.
At the moment the ‘default publish strings’ option is set. Because of my german Lectora version all texts are in german.
Can somebody tell me why Lectora uses the respective english texts when publishing as exe? Where does it take them from?
It would be great if someone can help… Thanks!
