Customise browser layout

Hi,

I'm trying to find a way control the way the browser appears for our published courses. Unfortunately our LMS is old and there is no way to control the way the window appears in it, so the LMS route is not an option.

I've read a number of posts on here about possible html or javascript "hacks" that could possibly work but cannot locate a definitive answer anywhere.

What we are trying to achieve is basically hide all toolbars, scrollbars, menus, etc and just have a blank browser window that contains only our course.

Could anyone provide a step-by-step guide on how to achieve this? Or failing that point me in the direction of a website/person that could help.
