You can also rename the buttons but have to ensure that you keep the back, next, exit, and home part in its name. for example, you can name them as new back.gif, new next.gif, new home.gif, new exit.gif.
however, still can't figure out how it is automatically doing so. Like to hear more on this from trivantis end.
