Create Templates

The templates I create for the other developers on my team to use include, by default, the following:A Course Introduction module that has * a Welcome page* a Course Objectives page, and * a Course Menu page (this is just a modules menu, not a page-level menu, which they can access at any time from the Menu button in the navigation area). Then I include some additional modules (Module 1, Module 2, etc.), each one of which includes* an objectives page and* a summary page (which is similar to the objectives page, but with the various objectives checked off). Then, I have a "Course End Pages" module, which contains * a page for the Summary Practice Activity (this is usually a game-type activity that draws on information from all of the modules, as opposed to the regular quiz-question type practice questions that I include in each module)* a Course Summary page, and* a Congratulations page. There's also a "Nonlinear Pages" module, which includes the page-level menu and any other things that wouldn't be a linear part of the course. For the developers convenience and for consistency of look/standards, etc., I have a temporary (i.e., deleted before publishing) Template Pages module that has a sample plain text page, a sample bulleted text page, and sample quiz-question pages (with the customized functionality that we like to use for the different types of quiz questions). The templates also contain some standard coding/actions, like the "no image toolbar" HTML code, the automated page numbering and titling actions/variables, the Exit warning functionality/objects, etc.Laura
