whorah, I tested your solution and it helped me out. With your 'visibility' first then your 'play' following, I got the .swf to kick-off. Then reversing the order correctly allowed me to turn off/hide the .swf. (If you just hide the .swf, it will continue to play in the background) I was left with one problem- how to restart the animation. Simply toggling the show/hide action does not work. So, for this I added the Lectora action of "Change Content". I simply changed the content, (using the same file) and reloaded my existing movie, allowing it to start over from the beginning.Up to here I've solved the Start/On and Close/Off dilemas. I still wanted to control the animation as far as pause, next and back. For this I was forced to use the Captivate included playback controls which are part of the .swf and are not accessible by Lectora. I further modified the Captivate playback controls with Photoshop so they had the look and feel I wanted.With Lectora and Captivate controls together I acheived my goal. However it would of been SO much easier if the basic Lectora controls worked as expected.
