I've read all of the posts I could find regarding Captivate, .swf's, and Flash animations. Most of them deal with asking the .swf animation to pass values TO Lectora. My question is the opposite. How do I get Lectora 2005 to control my Captivate generated .swf file? I have a simple text paragraph with a link of 'show me' that users will click on to watch the animation. The animation is hands free and runs until it is complete.I created a simple animation via Captivate to demonstrate how to "Map a Network Drive". With Captivate in the recording mode, it creates a very nice and compact .swf. However, none of the Lectora actions 'Play', 'Stop', etc., work towards my .swf. I cannot add these actions to the .swf file itself since the animation needs to remain hands-free and simply run its course.Surprisingly if I use a .swf file that was created with Flash 8 Professional, then Lectora controls it exactly as one would expect. However, I would like to use Captivate to generate my .swf files as it is easier, faster and less work. Is there a known problem with the Captivate .swf files? Pop-up windows are available but then I lose the look and feel that I am shooting for in the overall page layout. Why can't I control my .swf with Lectora's controls? Any help and guidance is appreciated.
