Completion Status Issue when Closing Safari Browser Window

Hello All,

I have encountered a perplexing issue with the completion status of a quiz I created in Lectora/Saba Publisher 10.2. The quiz functions as expected when I test it using Safari 5.1 on SCORM Cloud: regardless of how I exit, it maintains a completion status of “Incomplete” and a success status of “Unknown” until I earn a passing score (80 or higher) on the quiz, at which point it shows a completion status of “Complete” and a success status of “Passed.” When I access it on our LMS (Saba 5.4.3) using IE8 or Firefox, it also behaves as expected, not giving a successful completion status until I earn a passing score.

However, when I use Safari 5.1 to access the quiz through our LMS and exit the quiz by closing the browser, Saba records a successful completion status even if I have not completed the quiz or attempted a single question. In fact, it records successful completion as early as the second page alongside a score of zero (the quiz features six introductory pages before the questions begin). It behaves as expected with Safari if I exit using the quiz’s Exit button.

If anyone has thoughts toward a solution, I would very much appreciate them.

Thanks!
