Don't understand what the problem is. You can do that some of that NOW! While you cannot pick the colors in advance, you can change them AFTER the object is created. Just right click on object and select Edit or open properties and click the Edit button. You do not have to delete your shape and recreate.Do these "Edit" options not show for you? These have been around since 2006.
