Closed Captioning in Lectora 9.3

Hello,
We are currently using v. 9.3 and would like to add closed captioning to pages containing images/videos with audio files. My understanding is that v10 supports captioning for video (although it is open captioning) and has an option to add captions via an external xml file. Has anyone found a way to program/embed the captions via adding an external file, actions, variables, or otherwise, in 9.3?
