Chinese ALT tags

I am currently working on a translation project from English into Chinese and Korean. Lectora seems to handle foreign characters really well (I have no problem with standard text blocks or even page names and table of contents), however I am having some trouble getting ALT tags to display with foreign characters. They appear as a square character instead of the appropriate Chinese character. I assume this is because the ALT tag is just taken from button/image name and is not told to be a foreign character. Is there any way around this? Is it actually possible to get Chinese character to appear as ALT text?I am using Lectora Enterprise Edition 2008 SP2 (5609).Thanks
